With our 8 total weddings this summer I was pretty pumped for Ryan’s cousin’s in the cities. It was raining on our drive up from Madison but we were elated when the sun started to shine by the time we got to the church for the ceremony.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and the bride looked stunning in her 14 foot veil.
Rachel had been dreaming of this church since she was 12 years old. The church was perfect for her and her new husband. The bride and groom seemed so well rehearsed and at ease. I hope I looked that relaxed at my wedding!
The reception was at the Lafayette Club in Minnetonka. We were blown away at the extra touches the bride took to make everyone feel welcome. I decided to introduce some of my new cousins to cosmos at the bar and by the end of the night I feel like every woman there had a cosmo. I think that also had a direct correlation to the dance floor being full the entire night! My cousin Lindsay actually grabbed the martini glass when it was filled with ice water because she thought the drink was complete. The bartender kindly informed her that he was just chilling the glass and that what she was holding just a glass of ice water. Ha!
How was your labor day? Anyone else have lots of friends getting married this summer?
