This weekend started off with happy hour with these lovely ladies at Old Sugar Distillery. I can’t believe I had never been here! I definitely want to go back and take a tour of the establishment. It was even founded by a UW- Madison grad!
This drink was “The Standard.” I knew walking in I was a little out of my league when I walked in but when I took the first sip of this I realized I should have probably read the description a little more closely. It was just rum, lime, and ice. I was buzzed after 3 sips!
We then moseyed over to Brinks Lounge to see the blue grass band Emerald Grove.
We ordered the Mediterranean app and listened to some tunes! The music was great and even better company!
Saturday morning, I woke up to my alarm thinking that there is no way that it is already time to get up for my 11 miler. After pressing snooze a few times I finally woke up. I have a problem of put-zing around my house before a run. You would think I would want to get it over with? Nope. It took me about an hour before I finally get out the door by 7:30. It was only 17 degrees but it didn’t take me too long warm up luckily. I planted a water bottle in my mail box for a drink stop half way through my run. I didn’t end up stopping because I knew if I did I would probably ditch out and find myself miraculously on my couch eating waffles.
As you may have heard the Badgers are in the final four! The second half of the game was intense. Dekker is my fav for sure. I am looking forward to hopefully watching the game. I realized I like watching basketball way more than football.
Have you been to a distillery? Did anyone watch basketball this weekend?
