Happy Leap Day/Year!
I never thought I would be grilling out and sending Ryan golfing in February. It reached almost 60 degrees here in Wisconsin and it was much appreciated. I started the day with a 10 miler. Woot. First double digit run complete and I didn’t even mean to. At 6:30am it was super windy and cold still. I wanted to turn back 100 times but just continued to tell myself it would get better. Luckily, I was right. I got used to it and obviously the way back was a breeze. I always need to wear my hair in a bun when it is super windy because if it is in a ponytail it comes around and whips me in the eye. The dangers of running, I tell ya.
It was so beautiful out that we had to walk around Lake Geneva.
It is always fun to dream about living in one of the mansions on the lake.
Saturday night, we got to work making some kebabs. I made a vegetarian version for myself with chopped up sweet potatoes but of course I forgot to snap a pic.
I ended the weekend with getting to see this little bundle of joy. We did some shopping and one of us gave Emmett this cat toy. As we were walking out we assumed it was his and we walked right out of the store. Once he was playing outside with it my sister advised us that it was not his toy. We quickly ran inside to pay for it but it made us wonder how often that happens.
