Although I ran throughout my pregnancy it was a whole new ball game when I started to run after having Archie. I started running after 6 weeks postpartum. I thought I would miss it during those 6 weeks but I was so exhausted that it just wasn’t a priority. I remember thinking that running at around a 930 pace would be the new norm. I am glad some of the hard work has paid off and I got a little bit of my speed back.
Now Archie is 10 months old and I am finally feeling like I don’t have to limit myself. My running has sped up and I have a routine down of going to 5:15am workout classes.
My Mizuno Wave Rider 21‘s are perfect for mornings where I want to get a super fast and quick run in.
Like this one! I have been using Nike run club app lately instead of my garmin just because I listed to podcast on my phone anyway.
The Wave Riders are light and neutral. They use what is called Dynamotion fit for agility. My feet feel supported and I always warm up right away in them on these freezing temps in Wisconsin. I want to wear them to some of my boot camp classes too.
I am hoping to do another half marathon next year but we will see how training goes with 7 weddings next year. We have to travel for a few of the weddings so I am looking into races in those cities. If there is a race in town and I am free I will usually not shy away from signing up because I am not in top running shape. I always have fun racing regardless of my time. These Mizunos have really given me a spring in my step to run fast.
Archie is ready to hit the pavement too.
Do you wear Mizunos? What is your go to shoe?
Are you doing any races next year?
